I am posting 4 versions of my favorite cows to paint in oil, the Galway cows from Aldermere Farms.  The kids call them oreo cows because of their black and white coloration.  I painted these over the last few months and to me it is a reminder of the importance of painting subjects that are personally interesting and not just a different subject every time I want to paint.  I like the cows and I like how abstract I can make them and still have them recognizable as cows.
