These two paintings are 45 minute studies of Botswana, a wonderful place where I spent a couple of weeks a recently. I am working on a big show of paintings from this region, but these are just studies. I have to capture the light and atmosphere which is the main deal. 
9×12 oil on canvas panel “Sunset on the Delta” I am painting this quickly in order to capture the plein air feeling of the setting. 
8×10 oil on panel “Early morning light, Trees reflections” Here is am trying to just keep the focus on the beautiful light on the tree trunk while maintaining interest all around the painting.
