An Acrylic Triptych “Red Zone”

Acrylics

I am tired of the winter. I am tired of traditional oils. I am tired of representational watercolors so I stacked up a bunch of 9×12 linen canvases and used the 4 colors I had Carbon Black, Australian Ghost Gum, Transparent Umber and Matisse Red light and using a sponge applicator I painted these 3 abstractions as a grouping.  I am sure they will disappoint many and excite a few but to me they were exactly what I wanted.  Oh and I had spent a couple of hours communing with Robert Motherwell’s works on paper.  I do love Motherwell.IMG_224412 x 27 acrylic on canvas for lack of a better title “Red Zone”
