In the painting today, I trying to paint the wonderful mirror like reflections of clouds coming over top of a mountain lake. Try paint a really expressive sky that has couple nice pieces of white clouds that will be reflected. The marshy area around the water is painted with a rich mixture of new gamboge, hansa yellow, olive green and thalo yellow green with hints of burnt sienna and cadmium scarlet. Keep it loose and lively. Have fun.
