In The Studio: “A Day In The Sun” a New Oil

I did this painting today on my way home from my class in the Plains, Virginia.  It is not finished yet but I wanted to let you see it to keep the dialogue going about learning to paint in a new medium.  I am definitely struggling with the finish on my oil paintings but I think it will come soon.  I am working on a couple oils in the studio most of the time letting one dry a little and working on the other one.  It seems to be making more sense every time I finish another painting.  I am excited and am finding oils to be a nice addition to my creative output.  Hopefully soon they will be ready for public scrutiny.
