This painting is about a lot of direction marks and a focusing the painting with a complementary color. I think if you use, as I have been saying through the last project and this one, a really expressive brush you can make even the most mundane of subject matter come alive. Now is the time to make getting right with a round brush part of your daily routine. I know you all are on board with this and are working a little bit each day. I would recommend that you forsake painting pictures and make sure your skills are up to par. The painting should be a culmination of all the effort put into the process. I promise that your paintings will be better when you paint intuitively and with purpose and direction.

Love the shady road leading to the buildings and the contrast between the strip of green grasses/weeds (?) next to to fallow field! (wow 🙂 )
