This week I used the same image for my watercolor classes and ended up with 2 similar but distinctly different finished paintings. I give myself about 30-45 minutes to present the lesson and to do the completed painted. Interesting this is the same amount of time I give for my oil demonstrations but if the class is 3-4 hours long there is only so much time. The image was a dark watery scene with some skeletal trees and I thought is was marvelous. The lesson was to get as really rich darks, with variety in color, make the scrapes in a timely fashion, handle the lifts in the water and to try to blend the light yellows into the dark values, in a very wet and fluid process. I think it was the way transparent watercolor should be handled.

Me gustan las dos acuarelas y, sobre todo, me gusta ver la foto de referencia. Gracias para explicar el enfoque de la clase. respetuosamente Mercedes
