This painting is a pretty expressive take on the subject. I tried to have fun with the colors and to interweave the background and the figure. This was harder than I thought it would be, but sometimes it just makes you have to work at it. I am showing the drawing after the painting so you can see how I started the painting. Again for those interested in opaque watercolor, I use a combination of transparent and opaque watercolors and I use just enough water to get the paint on the paper with a stiff bristle brush.
