I have been working on everything but painting lately you know the drill, taxes, putting together classes, workshops, family stuff and have just not been painting enough. When that happens I try to just paint something to stay in touch with the brush. I keep my concept simple and set a short time window, know that to ask for more will be frustrating and counter productive. So in this little 9×12 oil all I was trying to achieve was keep the ground and background dark, and put rich light filled colors on top of the shapes with purposeful brush work. I think I did that and it was a nice 1 hour painting session.

I really like the subject of still lifes and I am very interested in what subject you choose and how interpret them you. Thank you for sharing.
