Back to the drawing board, when I went out on my sister’s porch the thermometer read 100 degrees, so again I stayed on the porch drawing pots, plants and pooches. One thing I will tell you there are no easy drawings, planter pots require foreshortening, plants require overlapping and foreshortening, and 6 pound dogs require speed and a sense of humor. Just when you think you have the dog figured out a pesky flea comes along and the scratching begins. So the drawing is not the important thing, it the drawing action that is the key. Do it and you will find your paintings will improve because you understand the shapes and perspective.

Winnie, the wonderful 6 pound yorkie mix, I usually am not a fan of small dogs but she is quiet and cool. 1 minute per drawing is about all I could get, she loves to move.
