In today’s version of the painting I have slightly shifted the shapes up to the top of the painting making the road have a longer path into the painting. I have also reduced the size of the buildings giving the landscape features a little more importance. Notice what small changes do to the composition. It is not always the big changes that make a painting work sometimes it is just a tweak. Remember the photograph is just a source not a final answer.
Tomorrow I will put up another version of this group of buildings and I hope it all begins to make you want to play with your photographic source material and really use your compositional skills.
