Design the white spaces make them interesting and as your painting remember to keep them as the focus of the painting. It is not about the buildings, the trees, or the grass it is about the movement created by the white shapes. Treat each white shape as an opportunity to show off the brush work that you have been working so hard on the last few months. The palette is pretty broad but nothing that we haven’t been using in the past. Some paintings call for and can get by on a few colors and others need them all and this is a sunny springtime scene and it needs a wide range of colors.
