I had as my artistic intent to paint an impression of afternoon light and glare on a generic marsh. I tried to resist putting in details that would diminish the feeling of light filtering through and behind clouds. I think it works out pretty well and if it only serves one purpose that being to convince my artistic friends that I haven’t taken up permanent residence in a slasher novel, which seems to be the response I got for my last painting “They say it couldn’t get any worse”. I am trying with my acrylics to paint fairly non representational expressions of the landscape. 24 x 24 Acrylic on canvas

I think you suceeded…in conveying the feeling of bright light…and warmth. I like how you’ve described the landscape…which virtually no detail at all.
It’s fresh…and inspiring Steve. Love the colours too.
