I did enjoy this painting. I feel like I might have turned the corner with this on again off again relationship with acrylics. At times I have felt like I was in a marriage that was headed to the lawyers with this medium. My years of painting watercolors left me with the belief that moving to a new medium would be a simple matter of brushes and paint and voila. Well almost 2 years later I am just feeling like I am getting a handle on the stuff. This painting has transparency contrasted against opacity and wonder of wonders I painted most of it using a brush and not my weapon of choice the palette knife. Again this is a looking down view of deserts and water and has a strong feeling on Africa.
